Therapy provision in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Falkirk and Dublin

Currently Stuart holds clinics in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Falkirk. A full range of therapies is available in each. Reduced rate counselling and hypnotherapy is only available in Edinburgh, although in all areas some concessions apply for all psychological therapies for certain groups and or low income. Stuart provides psychoanalysis, clinical hypnotherapy, stress counselling, integrative psychotherapy, eastern psychology, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), MBCT (mindfulness based behavioural therapy), grief counselling, couples counselling, general counselling, NLP (neuro linguistic programming), meditation and sports hypnosis. All of these are available in Edinburgh, Dublin, Glasgow and Falkirk.

What is availability like for psychotherapy in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dublin and Falkirk?

Edinburgh is the main location, with a permanent base and two back up locations.

Falkirk and Glasgow are on alternate Thursdays.

Who provides the therapy in clinic in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dublin and Falkirk?

Stuart trained as an analyst (psychoanalysis), clinical hypnotherapist (hypnotherapy), stress counsellor (counselling) during an externally accredited diploma 1993-6 requiring over 1,000 supervised client hours (externally NVQ accredited and assessed diploma course and CNHC accreditation route via SSM).  Since then he has completed extensive post graduate training including a MSc Psychology and CPD awards in counselling, grief counselling, mental health, hypnotherapy, story hypnosis, psychotherapy, NLP, life coaching, mindfulness, Naikan, Morita and complementary therapies. Stuart also has a BSc (Hons) IIT specialising in business studies and human resources which is useful when providing life coaching, and a BA (Hons) Open degree specialising in psychology. He also has university certificates from Edinburgh and Lampeter, specialising in areas including interpersonal communication, informal counselling, psychology, theology and philosophy. He has completed the assessment process of the NACHP in counselling, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy.

Stuart has multiple professional registrations and Royal Society memberships and is a CNHC (voluntary regulator and AR scheme) registered hypnotherapist. He is also on the FHT AR scheme. Accredited  Registers are maintained by the Professional Standards Authority for healthcare professionals not subject to statutory regulation.
